At Story Monsters, our mission revolves around nurturing a genuine love for reading among children and introducing them to the enchanting worlds found within the pages of delightful books. We firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to embark on thrilling literary adventures.
Title 1 is the nation's oldest and largest federally funded program, according to the U.S. Department of Education. Annually, it provides over $7 billion to school systems across the country for students at risk of failure and living at or near poverty
Story Monsters is partnering with schools, libraries and educational organizations dedicated to improving literacy for K-12 students in the various counties of Arizona. These organizations provide professional development and innovative programs to teachers, reaching diverse students from public, charter, tribal, home, private, and juvenile detention schools across the state.

We have been invited to attend a Middle School event to re-open their school library and give students the opportunity to borrow books again! Greenie Bags are needed!
The impact of transitioning to re-open a School Library (a story from the school librarian)
10 years ago… one of the schools moved their K-5 students to a different school, deciding to use the space for a Middle School.
When this occurred, the administration at that time, decided the library at the middle school was no longer necessary. The library retained 2,000 books, and those books sat waiting for 7 years.
Finally, this year, I have the privilege of being librarian and have organized all the books so, students have access to checking-out books every day. The school library has now transitioned from a K-5 age library to a Middle School Library, serving students in grades 6 through 8. Over time, with the unfortunate loss of many books, 16 of the library shelves are now bare.
