About the Author

Dylan Peters is a typical all-American boy who loves to play football, soccer, and baseball. He's a good student, too. His favorite subjects in school are reading and math. Dylan lives with his parents, his older brother, Leighton, and his younger sister, Brooke, in Olathe, a small town in the gently rolling hills of eastern Kansas. He was first diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome when he was just four years old.

April 2011

Five years later, Dylan is now 14 years old and getting ready to embark on a new journey - high school. He will be attending a private college preparatory school, one in which none of his friends are going to. He is looking forward to meeting many new individuals, playing football and baseball, and joining the Theatre and Debate clubs. He still enjoys reading and math. Quite often you will find him behind the wheel of his mom's SUV since he just got his learner's permit. Dylan is extremely thankful for all of the supportive emails, letters, and phone calls he has received since he wrote Tic Talk. Most of all, Dylan is happy that his book has helped many kids talk about their own TS as well as teach others to accept individuals with challenges. Dylan hopes that his book will continue to help kids with TS know they are not alone.
