FINALLY, SOMEONE 'GETS' WOMEN!
On the Brink of Bliss... pierces core of female psyche with witty humor
CHANDLER, AZ (November 2008) — Accomplished actress-turned-writer Lisa Cerasoli unapologetically spotlights the mistakes young women seem doomed to make before they can discover their inner strength and steer themselves in a purposeful direction — or at least stop taking wrong turns — in her cleverly humorous debut novel, On the Brink of Bliss and Insanity.
Originally a screenplay, On the Brink of Bliss follows Annie's dysfunctional life as she uncontrollably spirals downward, going from an all-time low to rock bottom. Women can't help but see themselves in her chaotic existence, yet they enjoy her downfall — and eventual epiphany — just the same! Add barbed witticisms from Annie's cousin, an angry acupuncturist, and quips from two sadomasochistic elementary school teachers, and reckless desperation leads to blind fearlessness in this modern-day romance where love is lost, found, "whined and dined," but mostly — redefined.
Cerasoli, whose writing style was recently compared to Diablo Cody by Robert Potter, a story analyst for HBO and Castle Rock, spent nearly a decade in Los Angeles as an actor before discovering her true passion for writing. She was a series regular on General Hospital, portraying the quirky character "V." She also appeared in numerous nighttime series, including recurring roles on The Pretender as "Zoe" and in Boomtown.
On the Brink of Bliss and Insanity (ISBN: 978-1-58985-121-4), a Five Star Publications book, retails for $15.95 and can soon be purchased in bookstores and through BarnesandNoble.com, Borders.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, indiebound.org and www.FiveStarPublications.com.
