GET CAUGHT READING 'ZOMBIE ISLAND' TO WIN!

TEMPE, AZ (March 31, 2008) - Two hundred lucky teachers or librarians will win a "Student From Zombie Island Curriculum Kit" and one will win a book for each student in his or her classroom (limit 30 books) simply by sending in a photograph of themselves caught reading "The Student From Zombie island: Conquering the Rumor Monster," a humorous, delightfully illustrated book by 12-year-old Michael Moorehead that subliminally teaches children not to spread rumors. Michael recently received the 2008 Reader Views Award for Best Children's Book for ages 7 and older.

Get Caught Reading is a nationwide campaign that takes place in May to remind people of the value of reading. According to program organizers, research indicates early language experiences stimulate children's brains to grow, and reading to children gives them a huge advantage. Supporters of Get Caught Reading include First Lady Laura Bush, Drew Carey, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Donald Duck, Patty Duke, Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Graham, Michael Moorehead and others.

The first 200 teachers or librarians who enter automatically receive a "Zombie Island Curriculum Kit," valued at $25.95, which includes a copy of the book, a DVD featuring Michael discussing his book and answering questions about writing and publishing, curriculum that meets national standards for grades two through four, 30 bookmarks and reproducible activity sheets. Each entry is put into a drawing for the classroom of "Zombie Island" books. A DVD preview is available at www.ZombieIslandBooks.com. Entry deadline is May 31.

To enter, educators visit www.fivestarpublications.com/zombie/teachers.html to download a "Get Caught Reading Zombie Island" entry form. Next, educators electronically send the completed form and a digital photo of themselves reading the book to their students to info@fivestarpublications.com. No purchase is necessary, as participants can borrow the book from the library or a friend, or take the photo while in a bookstore. The form may also be faxed to 480-940-8787.
