ARIZONA AUTHOR/PUBLISHER: TWO-TIME WINNER
IN INTERNATIONAL BOOK CONTEST
CHANDLER, AZ (May 7, 2010) - Celebrated author and owner of Five Star Publications, Linda Radke, shined at the 2010 Paris Book Festival by winning two awards: First Place in the "How-To" category for her book, The Economical Guide to Self-Publishing: How to Produce and Market Your Book on a Budget, 2nd edition, and an Honorable Mention in the "Cookbook" category for Legends in the Kitchen: Celebrity Recipes for a Cause, which she coproduced with Mrs. Howard Keel. The global contest permitted entries in French, English, Spanish, German and Portuguese, making her double win a standout in an aggressive competition.
Radke's 2010 Paris Book Festival accomplishments come hot on the heels of Five Star Publications' recent acceptance of three first-place 2010 Glyph awards and four "Finalist" nods from the Arizona Book Publishing Association (ABPA) for excellence in publishing. The Glyph is ABPA's equivalent of the Academy of Motion Pictures' Oscar.
In addition to the nuts and bolts of publishing, The Economical Guide to Self-Publishing gives readers an invaluable arsenal of conventional - and unconventional - methods for marketing, promoting and obtaining publicity.
