WITH FIVE STAR FOR SPORTS CELEBRITY COOKBOOK
CHANDLER, AZ (January 28, 2010) - Famed sports celebrities share their kitchen stories, tips and recipes for Five Star Publications' newest project, Sports Legends in the Kitchen: Celebrity Recipes for a Cause, a cookbook that doubles as a fundraising arm for the nonprofit Professional Sports Wives Association (PSWA) and its charities, which include Starlight.org, Dignity U Wear and others.
Coauthoring the book are Gena James Pitts, publisher and editor in chief of Professional Sports Wives Magazine, radio talk show host, PSWA board member and wife of former NFL defensive lineman Mike Pitts; and Five Star Publications' Linda F. Radke, award-winning publisher and author of numerous books on publishing, marketing and cooking.
"When Gena contacted me about interviewing one of my authors for an article in her magazine, we got to talking about the original Legends in the Kitchen, a newly released cookbook I coauthored to help raise money for the nonprofit Motion Picture & Television Fund," says Radke. "She totally embraced creating a sports celebrity version to help raise money for PSWA and its worthy causes."
"Although we typically picture professional athletes on the field or in an arena rather than in the kitchen, you'd be surprised what incredible dishes some of these celebrity men and women can make. I can't wait to share them with the public!"
Sports Legends in the Kitchen, is scheduled for publication in the winter of 2010.
