Each month, Kids Can Publish will select the best pieces in a variety of categories and age divisions to publish online, giving young authors and illustrators their own byline. Only the very best entries will be published, making it an honor to be chosen. Yes, kids, this means you can boast to your friends, family and teachers about your literary accomplishment, and one day, you might even choose to use your winning status on a job resume!
Writers: Whether you like to write fiction, nonfiction, short stories, poems, news or feature articles, or you have a really strong opinion about something and would like to write an editorial, send in your finished product for a chance to be our monthly featured writer.
Artists: Send us your cartoon strips, illustrations and photographs!
Get Started: You may enter one piece per month, but you do need a parent's permission each time you enter.
Note: Your written entries will be edited minimally to preserve your writer's voice. If you're one of our lucky winners, we suggest you compare your original piece to the one printed online as a learning tool for becoming a better writer.
