Student Book Sponsors
Is your organization willing to commit to improving the literacy benchmark in the United States? If so, read on...
Dear Colleague,
One in five Americans is functionally illiterate according to the National Coalition for Literacy, and two-thirds of those lacking basic language skills were born in the United States, with English being their native language! Consider the long-term affect these statistics will have on your company and the country as a whole. How does it impact the quality of potential employees, sales and ability to compete with foreign companies?
It's time to commit to improving the literacy benchmark in the United States!
As a former teacher and publisher with 25 years of book publishing under my belt, I know children not only want to learn, they are eager to learn. I also know the key to education is keeping students excited about and involved in what they are learning. That's why Five Star Publications establishing Kids Can Publish!, a clearing house for legitimate publishing opportunities and contests for students to encourage them to write. As part of this mission, we would like to offer classrooms the opportunity to publish an anthology of students' works to keep as a commemorative piece and/or sell as a school fundraiser.
Schools need your help! Unfortunately, most schools don't have the budget to print their own books, and are in need of companies to sponsor their publishing projects. There are two sponsorship opportunities available:
For as little as $2,000 - paid to the school - your company can bring the power of language and books to America's children by sponsoring the designing of a school's anthology and printing ## copies of it for the school's use. If the school wants to use the book as a fundraiser or simply give each student-author a copy, they may purchase additional copies at $$ and set their own selling price. In return, your firm will be acknowledged in all publicity materials, receive a full page ad in the back of the anthology and recognized in the book's foreword.
For $1,000 - paid to the school - your company can sponsor the printing only for ## copies of a school's anthology, and the designing will be left up to the students and teachers. In return, your firm will be acknowledged in publicity materials and recognized in the book's foreword.
If your company's budget can't afford to underwrite a full scholarship, any donated scholarship amount will be appreciated and acknowledged.
The number of functionally illiterate Americans is growing. Will you join our efforts to correct the problem? Contact me, and we'll work on it together!
Kind regards,

Linda F. Radke

The teachers in my building are always looking for places to showcase their student's work. Your contest highlights the importance of creativity in writing and art. In this age of technology, it will be very exciting to be published on-line.
Thank you in advance for this wonderful opportunity,
