Kosher Kettle:
International Adventures in
Jewish Cooking is a collection of recipes from around the world.
I met Sybil Ruth Kaplan 20 years ago in Jerusalem
while she was writing her first cookbook, Wonder of a Wonder Pot.
A "wonder pot" was a marvelous invention created in Israel
to help cooks with baking before they had ovens. Like her inventiveness
with the wonder pot, Sybil has done it again, this time compiling
her own kosher recipes with those of over 75 contributors.
In addition, I was delighted to see that she
has included so many of Dalia Carmel's kosher recipes. Dalia, a
food hobbyist, has been an invaluable help to food writers like
myself throughout the years.
