When Linda Foster Radke's brother died of bronchitic complications in 1984 at the age of 30, she was devastated. Using the memory of her brother, Mark, donating all his hard-earned newspaper carrier money to a charity when he was a child as a guidepost, Radke developed the The Mark Foster Youth Fund, which makes monetary contributions to assist young people in their time of need.

As the owner of a publishing company that offers a special division for exclusively
publishing the works of child authors, Little Five Star, and former elementary school
teacher, Radke is also very dedicated to improving children's literacy skills and developing
in them a love for reading and writing. To this end, she joined forces with Lynda Exley, an
award-winning editor and writer, to co-found Kids Can Publish University.

Proceeds from the sales of Dave Pratt: Behind the Mic, 30 years in radio will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Pratt, who successfully battled prostate cancer in 2005, is so intent on raising money for the cause that he vows not to give away any books, not even to his own mother!

As the mother of 12-year-old Michael J. Moorhead, the award-winning author of The Student From Zombie Island: Conquering the Rumor Monster, Lynda Exley has seen first-hand the incredible self-esteem and confidence children gain from being published. To bring this joy to other children, she co-founded Kids Can Publish University with Linda Radke, donating time and money to the cause.
