"My only objection to your publication Shakespeare: To Teach or not to Teach is that it should definitely go beyond elementary to high school. It would be well received by college introductory classes and most community theatres. Include the self study group in the home for the complete family.

The students would be thrilled to receive a certificate, ribbon or even a trophy for competitive study and homework. Scaled models, graphics, monologues and painted illustrations of some Shakespeare's key characters would be fun and bring out dormant artistic endeavors. One of Shakespeare's more famous characters would be creative, Yorick the King's jester as Hamlet identifies him in the form of a skull, twenty years after his actual death. His likeness would prove a real challenge.

The book is an amazing introduction to the Bard, his works and environment. Please list the Shakespeare Society of America's recommendation as a way to overcome literary and dramatic stage fright that can open many doors because 'all the world's a stage', and 'the play is the thing'."

Sincerely,
R. Thad Taylor, President

"Recommended for use with fourth-grade and up (though it can be used with younger students…While the authors recommend using this resource in conjunction with Five Star Excellent resource for teaching or directing Shakespeare. Great ideas for different teaching methodologies and plenty of across-the-curriculum activities. You, your colleagues, and your students will enjoy the clever means of incorporating math, science, art, journalism, music, social studies, physical education, and social issues into the study of Shakespeare.

"Hello! I just want to thank you for producing your one hour scripts of Shakespeare! I ordered 40 TWELFTH NIGHT, and used them to teach three groups of children. Each group had eight one-hour sessions together, plus what practicing they did at home. This week we put on the three performances for family and friends and they were all a smashing success!!"

"We had groups of highschoolers, junior highers, and 4th-6th graders. All the kids memorized their lines and learned their acting parts and pulled it off...We could NEVER have done the whole play. PLUS we had a blast, and I am sure the kids will never forget their time together, all they learned about Shakespeare, and the story of TWELFTH NIGHT. Thank you...we are hoping to do another one next fall. Or sooner."

Thanks again, be encouraged.
