“If we have survived middle and high school then we have met at least one attitude girl in our lives (and perhaps we were even girls with attitudes at one point). I really enjoyed reading The Attitude Girl. This book is a fast page turner that made me remember what it was like to be a teenager. You know, that time period when we said 'I will NEVER forget what my life was like when I was 15/16/17' and yet each day we slowly do forget. I think there were a few times when my husband attempted to talk to me while I was reading The Attitude Girl but I was so engrossed in the book that I didn’t pay him any attention. I simply had to know what happened in this story!

Being a teenager is a whirlwind of emotions and mixed messages. In this story the main character’s voice is real and emotions are intense. Her struggles are exactly what teenagers of today are facing. After overcoming the obstacles the main character’s attitude is changed for the better. If you have a tween/teen aged daughter then this book is perfect for both of you.

This fantastic book is the winner of 8 literary awards, including the Best Young Adult Novel of the Year at the 2010 Premier Book Awards. We will definitely be seeing more of Mila Bernadkin in the future based on the success of this book!”

“I have had the chance to read this book. I will have to say that author Mila Bernadkin has managed to narrate a story that any young adult can understand. This book is easy reading – as it all flows together smoothly. I had the hardest time putting this book down. Being in the first- person like this story is narrated… it just flows like a conversation. You can almost hear all the characters in your heads when you read. Working retail – I see many ‘Vickys’ out there… It is more common than not for these young adults to be focused on only themselves…and they have that ‘Attitude’ about them. I definitely recommend this book in your young adult’s stocking today.”
